Top Dog Pet Sitters is owned and managed by Erick and Susan Gary (read more about their backgrounds). When they aren’t available for pet sitting, a “top dog” staff member is ready to step in and provide professional and reliable coverage.

The TDPS team brings a wealth of pet care experience, giving pet parents peace of mind.  Each of them is compassionate and loving and work hard to exceed your expectations!

Billie the Pet SitterBillie

Billie owns 3 dogs, 3 cats, 3 cows, 2 sheep, and a lizard. When she is not caring for her pets, she enjoys watching action movies and Disney movies. A McKinney native, Billie is currently enrolled at Collin College where she is studying Zoology. In addition to working for TDPS, Billie also works at a local doggie day care facility. Billie’s references describe her as “hard-working, caring, dependable, logical, and detailed.”

Abby grew up in McKinney and is mom to rescue cats Moe and Dahlia. Abby is a Marketing Specialist for a general agency in Dallas that provides employee benefits and payroll services. Abby enjoys reading, reality murder shows on the ID channel, scary movies, camping, and watching OK State Football games. Abby, Susan and Erick’s youngest daughter, often comes home to McKinney on the weekends to help with overnight and out of town care.

Tim

Tim is an award-winning Executive Sous Chef, dad to four kids (two of them are human) and married to an elementary school teacher. When Tim is not “cheffing” he enjoys being with his family, coaching his son’s soccer team, and watching/playing football. Tim’s references describe him as “punctual and having an exceptional work ethic and unwavering loyalty”. Tim provides care for TDPS pets on the weekends.

Jennifer

Jennifer is a Navy vet, a human mom, and a pet parent. She enjoys scrapbooking and running. Jennifer will be caring for TDPS pets throughout the week.

Tiffany

Tiffany is an adjunct professor at Collin College where she teaches nursing. Tiffany grew up in Bay City, Texas, and attended TCU and Texas Women’s University. When not teaching, working on her graduate project, or caring for pets, Tiffany enjoys watching crime shows on TV, attending Bible study, and hanging out with her family (a teenage daughter and fiancé) and girlfriends. Tiffany will be caring for pets throughout the week and overnight..

CJ

CJ, a self-described “nerd,” enjoys hanging out with his kids (including family movie night) and reading sci-fi novels. Originally, CJ is from Kansas and before being a stay-at home dad, was a graphic designer. CJ and his wife are TDPS clients and the pet parents of Bentley, an adorable Terrier mix. CJ will be working with TDPS throughout the week and weekends. CJ’s references describe him as “outgoing, trustworthy, and reliable.” 

Liz

Liz is a student at Oklahoma State University where she is studying Communications/Theater. She is in the OSU Choir, Opera and has a 4.0 GPA. Liz enjoys painting and admits that she is obsessed with dogs. Liz grew up in McKinney and is a Boyd High School graduate. Her references describe her as “dependable, caring, sweet honest and a dog lover!”  Liz will be working throughout the week while home on her break from OSU.

Cyd

Cyd, from Richardson, enjoys cooking, reading (mysteries, historical fiction), and watching college/pro football and basketball. Cyd is a MISD educator/administrator and teaches 5th grade reading, writing, and social studies. Cyd has pet care experience that includes not just dogs and cats but also birds, snakes, kangaroos, tortoises, horses and more!  She will be caring for pets on her MISD breaks.

Amie

Amie is a self-employed bilingual speech-language pathologist, mom to three daughters, and mom to two pups. Amie LOVES all things music, adores big dogs, prefers not to care for snakes, and has expereince caring for special needs pets. Amie enjoys reading, especially historical fiction and true crime. Often, she can be found volunteering for special needs events in McKinney that benefit adults and children. References share that Amie is “caring, sincere, and a great communicator”.  Amie will be working with Top Dog throuout the week.

Ale

Ale (Alejandra) enjoys birdwatching, gardening, and hiking. She is the mom to 3 pups, 1 cat, and 2 young human girl children. Ale has pet care experience, and her references describe her as “dependable”, “big hearted” and “amazing with fur-babies!” When not working with TDPS, Ale is employed by CPS. Ale will care for pets in Trinity Falls.

Brian

Ask Brian what his hobbies are, and he will tell you he’s too busy raising 3 daughters to have any hobbies! Brian is employed by MISD where he teaches vocational skills to adults with special needs. That job often takes him out into the McKinney community volunteering at several places including the Salvation Army, Hugs Café, and the YMCA. Brian has previous pet care experience, his “dad” to two pups, and will be working with TDPS primarily on the weekends. Brian’s references describe him as “kind, thoughtful, and willing to tackle challenges”.
