Meet Jessica Smith, owner of JessBest Dog Grooming
It is a pleasure to meet you! I appreciate Top Dog Pet Sitters giving me this opportunity to tell you about JessBest Dog Grooming. My name is Jessica Smith, owner and professional dog grooming stylist of JessBest Dog Grooming. Before you trust me to groom your pup, let me share with you just a bit about me: I am married, the mom to 2 boys and 1 dog. Being a human mom, a pet mom, a wife, and a small business owner keeps me on my toes, for sure. But, the opportunity to work from home as a dog groomer has been one of the best “Yes” decisions I have made.
That’s enough about me. What I really want to share with you are the 3 ways I intentionally create the BEST grooming experience for your fur baby.
1. Trust.
The basic issue that makes for a successful dog grooming is…TRUST. Trust in the groomer is crucial to a successful grooming. It is equivalent to the trust you have in your hair dresser and nail technician. At JessBest Dog Grooming, pups ARE special. The minute you arrive, I am at the car door to welcome your pup, to let your fur baby know that I am happy to see her. Pups receive belly rubs and ear scratching. I talk to them, providing reassurance during the entire time they are in my care. “One on One” time with a pup and myself is exactly what your fur baby needs. The result is that each dog is relaxed and comfortable, and an environment of trust has been created. The result? An enjoyable spa day. By the way, I groom one dog at a time, unless he or she part of a family of pups. Then they have a sibling spa day. My “one dog at a time” policy means your pup is not experiencing stress by being around strange dogs, or, stuck in a kennel.
2. Location
Operating my business out of my home has proven to be a comfortable and homey location for a dog to be groomed, relaxed, and able to enjoy a spa day. Beginning a dog grooming business out of my home was not precisely what I thought I would ever do; but a decision that has made me proud. The grooming studio is in my air-conditioned garage. Is it a posh setting? No. It does not need to be. Dogs are not materialistic and they don’t care what things look like. The items crucial for a beautiful, sanitary, and safe, grooming are present: a bath tub with running water, drying station, hair cut station and picture area to take before and after pictures.
3. Product
The term “Dog Confetti” is the hair from a dog. You may see it on the shirt of a dog owner, dog groomer, and especially on the groomer’s floor. Taking the time to care for your dog and his hair is essential to maintaining a healthy-looking dog. JessBest Dog Grooming only uses natural-based hair and skin care products on all pups. All of the products are toxin-free and therefore, safe for the most sensitive and allergy prone dogs.
JessBest Dog Grooming is located in McKinney, Tx. Services include: bath, nails clipped, ears cleaned, fluff dry, hair cut, and grooming maintenance.
